Verification of Employment

Applying for a loan? Buying a home or car? Leasing an apartment?

The Company uses the Work Number® to provide verification of employment (VOE). The Work Number is an automated service that provides instant employment verification and income verification. With this fast, secure service there is immediate access to your information either online or by phone. The Work Number is used when applying for a mortgage or loan, leasing an apartment or any other instance where a letter of proof of employment or income is needed. You choose what information will be supplied.

 

Provide the person needing proof of your employment and verification of salary the following information:

  • theworknumber.com
  • 800-367-5690
  • Employer code: 12550
  • Your Social Security Number (stop here if no salary information is needed)
  • Your Salary Key
    • If you need proof of employment plus income information, you need to create a Salary Key, which is a six-digit number that allows one-time access to your salary information. You can create a Salary Key online or via phone using the instructions in the following tabs.

  • Go to theworknumber.com/employees.
  • Enter employer code: 12550 (upper right) then choose Log In.
  • Select I want to provide proof of employment AND income.
  • Enter User ID (your Social Security number (SSN)) then choose Continue.
  • Enter Pin (last 4 digits of SSN + YYYY of birth year) then choose Log In.
  • Select Enroll Now, then choose the appropriate options in the next 5 steps.
  • Select Create Salary Key (under Verifications).
  • Write down the 6-digit Salary Key, which will be valid for one verification.

  • Dial 800-367-2884.
  • For English, choose 1; for Spanish, choose 2.
  • Enter employer code: 12550.
  • Say "Yes" or press 1.
  • Say "Continue" or press 1.
  • Say or enter your Social Security number (SSN).
  • Say or enter Pin (last 4 digits of SSN + YYYY of birth year).
  • Say "Income" or press 1.
  • Create Salary Key by saying "Yes" or pressing 1.
  • Write down 6-digit Salary Key, which will be valid for one verification.
