Tuition Assistance Program

Realize your higher education dreams through tuition reimbursement! We recognize that your skills and knowledge are critical to our success and the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) encourages full-time and part-time employees’ personal development through limited reimbursement of eligible education expenses.

• Tuition costs, required textbooks, and associated fees are eligible for reimbursement, up to designated limits
• Choose from individual courses or courses that are part of a degree program
• Classes must be offered from accredited colleges, universities or technical schools
• Must have completed at least twelve months of employment prior to class/course start date
• Must receive a passing grade of C or better to qualify for reimbursement (satisfactory completion)

Workforce Edge Portal

Through our partnership with Workforce Edge, you can easily submit and track TAP requests through the online portal. Employees wishing to participate in part-time and/or full-time TAP are required to log into the portal to submit all preapprovals via a Funding Request, required documentation, and reimbursement requests via a Proof of Completion. Workforce Edge reviews all submitted requests, verifies eligibility, coordinates with you regarding any information needed, and processes reimbursement requests.

In addition to managing TAP, Workforce Edge also partners with nationwide colleges to offer discounts to perspective students. Information about these “in-network” schools and how to take advantage of these discounts is available within the portal.

Log into the portal at discounttire.workforceedge.com or through the Workforce Edge tile in your Okta dashboard. Review the TAP policy for full details about the program, which can be found within the portal by following these steps:

1. Click the profile icon (top right).
2. Choose My Benefits.
3. Click the link to the policy.

• Discount Tire employees: Visit the Knowledge Center and choose Education Assistance from the Company > Learning menu.
• Full Service employees: Visit your location’s Knowledge Center page and click Education under the HR & Benefits section of the left menu.

NOTE: Yearly reimbursement limits are different depending on whether you are full-time or part-time status. Other restrictions may apply.
