Optum Support Hotline: Recent National Crises

Optum is offering a free emotional support helpline for individuals impacted by recent tragic events across the nation:

  • The February 14 Parkland, Florida school shooting
  • Flooding and mudslides in Santa Barbara County, California
  • Fires in and around Ventura County, California since December 4
  • The November 5 Sutherland Texas shooting
  • Wildfires in Northern California since October 8
  • The October 1 shooting in Las Vegas
  • Hurricane and storm activity throughout the South and Southeast

Optum’s public toll-free help line number, 866-342-6892, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for as long as necessary. This helpline provides those affected access to specially trained Optum mental health specialists. Callers may also receive referrals to community resources to help them with specific concerns, including financial and legal matters.

Again, this helpline service is free of charge and open to anyone.
