If you need proof of employment plus income information you need to create a Salary Key, which is a six-digit number that allows one-time access to your salary information. You can create a Salary Key online or via phone with the directions below.
Creating a Salary Key Online
- Go to www.theworknumber.com/employees
- Enter employer code: 12550 (upper right) then chose “Log In”
- Select: I want to provide proof of employment AND income
- Enter User ID (your Social Security #) then chose “Continue”
- Enter Pin (last 4 digits of SSN + YYYY of birth year) then chose “Log In”
- Select “Enroll Now” (then chose appropriate options – 5 steps)
- Select “Create Salary Key” (under verifications)
- Write down the 6 digit Salary Key – valid for one verification
Creating a Salary Key by Phone
- Dial (800) 367-2884
- For English chose 1; For Spanish chose 2
- Enter employer code: 12550
- Say Yes or press 1
- Say Continue or press 1
- Say or enter your Social Security #
- Say or enter Pin (last 4 digits of SSN + YYYY of birth year)
- Say Income or press 1
- Create Salary Key – say Yes or press 1
- Write down 6 digit Salary Key – valid for one verification
